We’ll ask you at close-out whether this was right. Builds your instinct over time.
▸Before you quote — did you factor these in?
- • Drive time, both ways, plus fuel
- • Materials pickup or a second trip for parts
- • Site prep, cleanup, and haul-away
- • Risk of a callback or warranty fix
- • Permit fees or inspection delays
These are the lines that sink margins. Quotr won’t pad your number — but a few close-outs will show you exactly which job types you keep underbidding.
“Copy quote” produces a customer-facing version with your margin baked silently into the total. Your internal breakdown above stays here.

FAQ
+Is the calculator actually free?
Yes. Quote as many jobs as you want, no account, no paywall. The paid part is the close-out feedback loop — and only if you find it useful.
+Is this a subscription I have to cancel?
No. There is nothing to cancel. One-time pack purchase, credits never expire.
+Margin or markup — which one does Quotr use?
Margin. It’s the percent you actually keep, which is the number that pays your mortgage. We show the markup equivalent next to the input so you can sanity-check against how you’re used to thinking about it. ($60 cost sold for $100 = 40% margin = 67% markup. Same dollars; very different sentence.)
+What do I get with a close-out?
Per job: quoted total, actual total, profit dollars, profit percent, variance percent, and your one-line “what surprised me” note. Across jobs: a dashboard that shows profit by job type.
+What happens when I run out of credits?
Your data stays. You can still quote new jobs for free and view every past close-out. To close out a new one, buy another pack.
+Can I use this on my phone on a job site?
Yes. The whole thing works on mobile. No app to install.
